Ka-Bar in Osage

Ka Bar in Osage

Didn't take any pictures before I had the scales rough cut and attached, sorry

It always looks ugly to start with, no worries

 trim excess pin material

clean up the fit of the scales aroudn the edges and flatten the sides

Some round sanding on the sanding belt at 100 grit (i'm out of 80 :()

Didn't take many pictures of that stage, but here it is moving on to hand sanding

Some finish work using the JK Iris to help clean up the ricasso and lanyard hole area

First Linseed oil treatment

Osage always looks good when finished

Some more detail work (inside the lanyard hole for example)

Finished! (well Actually I want to let it dry for a night and then apply for some more linseed oil treatments)

thanks for looking,
